such as Ballybunion, Killarney, Lahinch and Adare. Other golfing

Ballybunion The old course (6593 yards par71) opened in
1893 is renowned worldwide and has attracted such dignitaries as
President Bill Clinton, Tiger Woods, Mark O Meara and Ernie Els to
name but a few. The current club captain is renowned golfer Tom
Watson. Ballybunion Golf Club also offers the Cashen Course, another
18 hole championship golf links which was built in 1985 and ajoins
the old course.The Cashen course is considered very challenging and
many regard it as Ballybunion's hidden jewel. |

Lahinch After you've finished with Ballybunion you can
swiftly move on to another top quality Irish links at Lahinch in
County Clare. With the Shannon Car Ferry only two minutes drive
from here the Ferry House Hostel is again conveniently located for the

Lahinch is another prestigious golf course which like Ballybunion

Killarney If on the other hand you are tired of battling
the Atlantic there is another more peaceful option available once
again within range of the Ferry House Hostel. The famous course at
Kilarney Golf and Fishing club has hosted many Irish Open
Championships in its time and is truly worthy of its reputation as a
course of the highest quality. Situated on the banks of the tranquil
Lakes of Kilarney it provides you with spectacular views of the
surrounding lakes and mountains as you enjoy your round.
